Bob Dylan – Hezekiah Jones (black Cross)

That’s an early Dylan song recorded in 1961. The lyrics are based on the poem ‘Black Cross’ by Joseph S. Newman written in 1948.

And it’s a shame. It happens every day.

It’s beauty pierces my soul and pauses my world and it’s worries. In respect of a song and thus the late Hezekiah.

This version is good, but I like the one from Ten of Swords. The lyrics are virtually the same but Dylan seems to be in a better mood.

I don’t think, but the gaslight recordings are composed of recordings of three nightly shows. There are varying versions of moonshiner also.
