Obviously you’ve never heard of Jimi Hendrix. Whilst I admit, Bob Dylan is a great musician, Jimi Hendrix kicks Johnny Cash’s ass.

This is one of the moments that changed popular music forever. No one had ever put a song like this with an electric band before. Truly stunning.

What are you trying to get at? That the performance is bad?

He was booed (by his own fans)…. That’s why he leaves the stage like that after the first song. This marked the change in his musical direction, from acoustic folk to electric blues/folk, and a lot of people in that audience didn’t like it… fans don’t like change…. and it was a folk festival after all

That doesn’t make him a bad musician. It makes him revolutionary. Just because people weren’t ready for it, doesn’t mean it was bad.

Not once did I say it was a bad performance,I just gave you the reason his fans booed him. They wanted him to stay acoustic, he wanted to evolve a little, which was a great move for him. doesn’t make him revolutionary though. But as I said I was only giving you the reason he was booed during this performance. Didn’t pass any judgement on it personally
