Bob Dylan “spirit On The Water” Live At Bethel Woods 07
Live at Bethel Woods on 6/30/07, this is Bob Dylan performing “Spirit on the Water” from his album Modern Times. This video was taken from the lawn, so I was quite zoomed in during most of it which…
why does he forgo MY FAVOURITE LINE from this song??? “i see you there/i’m blinded by the colours i see/i take good care/of what belongs to me.” such a good line. avoided…’cause he knows i’m listening. when i saw him last, he didn’t sing that line…and i have never heard one live recording of this song in which he sings my favourite lines. ugh! Bob Dylan! i will have my revenge…maybe. if i can afford another one of your shows.

December 16, 2009 11:32 pm | #2The last concert I saw was in Austin and there was a female and she sat three rows behind us and she yelled and whistled and sang almost through Dylan’s entire concert. We wanted security to come and escort her out of the theatre.

December 17, 2009 1:24 am | #5Ok seriously, how did you not kick all of those people that were walking in front of you?! LOL – I’ve got no patience for people that go to his shows and then just walk around! They should stay home!
December 17, 2009 2:03 am | #6I totally agree with you, but certain songs aren’t really meant to dance to. If you see videos from the early days, people just sat and listened intently…but dancing is cool too.I saw him in 2004. We had seats right above a railing that overlooked the walk to the dressing room. After the show, we ran to an area behind the stage and looked down as Dylan slowly walked back. I yelled, “DYLAN, YOU’RE GOD!” and he looked up, raised his hand, and said, “Hey guys!”. I’ll die a happy too.
December 17, 2009 2:40 am | #7Thanks for the post! Its so lame when people are walking around during his shows (like the people constantly walking in front of the camera here). He’s not gonna play his Greatest Hits Volume 1 straight through, nor Hurricane, yet a lot of people seem to think they’re gonna get that. And when they don’t, they carry on conversations or just get up to walk around.
December 17, 2009 3:39 am | #8Unfortunately, especially for him, in the eyes of many people he’s become a caricature of his early work – they don’t realise that his recent stuff is just as good.Must be really frustrating for him wanting people to hear his latest work and they can’t ’see’ past ‘Like a rolling stone’ or ‘Times are a changing’
