i try to explain to him that there can be differant genre’s for the same artist.

like the album Jimi hendrix: “blues” he thinks this album should be in classic rock.

or Bob Dylan’s album “time out of mind” is classic rock.

i try to tell him those are blues albums but he wont listen. he think blue is only music from the 40’s.

so how do i explain genre’s to him? or am i wrong and he right

I’ve got a version of Bob Dylan’s Shelter from the Storm and I can’t figure out what album it’s from.

I think it’s by Dylan, because it certainly sounds like him, but it’s not the version from Blood on the Tracks or Hard Rain. It’s similar to the Blood on the Tracks version in that it’s more mellow and less rock, but the words are slightly different: instead of

there was little risk involved
everything up to that point
had been left unresolved

it says instead,

there was no risk involved
nothing up to that point
had even been resolved

Anyone know where it’s from?
