Which albums do not get enough recognition?
I love these three…
‘Planet Waves’ 1973 – The only full studio album he did with ‘The Band’.
‘Shot Of Love’ 1981- I love the production on this one, ‘Every Grain Of Sand’, ‘Grooms Still Waiting At The Altar’, what’s not to love?
‘Under The Red Sky’ 1990 – The title obviously referencing his childhood in a iron ore mining town, so he bases all the songs on nursery rhymes, I love this album.
What are your favourites?
BQ: What do you think is his most ‘overrated album is? Much as I love it, I don’t think ‘Time Out Of Mind’ is the masterpeice that it is made out to be….

By ‘underrated and generally unknown’ I mean a song that commercially isn’t necessarily well known, so none of his singles or popular songs (Like a Rolling Stone, Blowin’ in the Wind, Hurricane etc).
For me, after listening to Highway 61 Revisited twice over this morning and then Blonde on Blonde my pick would be between Desolation Row and Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues.
Post yours.
BQ: Favourite Dylan album that isn’t Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde, Blood on the Tracks, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, Desire or Bringing It All Back Home?
